The Service Clan represents dedication to selfless service and outstanding contributions to both the lodge and council. Members of the Service Clan embody the spirit of cheerful service, going above and beyond to support the lodge's operations, events, and community initiatives. They are symbols of commitment, reliability, and the willingness to put the needs of others first to strengthen the lodge and Scouting as a whole. Through their actions, the Service Clan ensures the lodge continues to thrive and exemplify the values of the Order of the Arrow.
Complete FIVE (5) of the following items:
Serve on a pre-approved number of Chapter Unit Elections or Camping Promotions teams in a year. Number to be set by Chapter Advisor.
Serve as staff for any of the following training programs: NYLT, NAYLE, ACT Conference, Conclave Trainings, NLS, NOAC Trainings -OR- serve as staff for two ILST, ILSC, or ILSS programs (may be earned twice).
Serve in the Lodge Executive Committee for nine months -OR- as a support person for key parts of the Lodge Business Program for at least three Lodge functions (may be earned twice).
Serve as a member of the Conclave Planning Committee (maybe be earned twice).
Participate in the writing, editing, proofreading, or publishing of the Tonkawa Camping Promotions guide or the production of a Camping Promotions slide show, video, or display.
Participate in recording, researching, writing, editing, publishing, or presenting the Tonkawa Lodge History.
Help to facilitate a Cub Crossover/Arrow of Light Ceremony. These ceremonies must be conducted using the Nationally-produced Cub Crossover or Arrow of Light Ceremonies.
Serve as an OA Unit Representative or OA Assistant Unit Leader for 6 months.
Complete ONE (1) of the following items:
Submit three articles for publication in the Thunderbird
Participate in an OA National Training or Service Program
Conduct or serve on staff on at least five training sessions adopted by the Lodge
Earn the Tonkawa Red Arrow or earn the Brotherhood Recruiting Hat
Perform a special project assigned by or approved by the Lodge Advisor and/or Lodge Chief
Serve at three Assembly weekends other than your Ordeal. You may serve as an Elangomat or in another capacity.
Attend at least four Lodge events other than Assembly weekends.
