Written by Jason Riley.

The Southern Region is holding National Leadership Seminar (NLS) and National Lodge Adviser Training Seminar (NLATS) trainings in New Braunfels April 26 - 29, 2013. This is likely the last time these trainings will be held in Texas for the next few years.

NLS is a weekend long training focusing on the skills and characteristics of leadership. Youth and adults are invited to attend. NLS is one of the premier trainings that the Order of the Arrow offers. Learn more about NLS at http://youtu.be/RGbhsiawhYg

More info including registration - http://southern.oa-bsa.org/nls-3/

NLATS focuses on skills and attributes of effective advisers. It is intended primarily to enhance an adviser’s knowledge of and connectivity with the OA’s strategic plan, program and resources, while emphasizing personal skills that are essential to the development of effective youth leadership and ultimately the OA’s service to the council. Adults in an adviser position are encouraged to attend NLATS.

More info including registration - http://southern.oa-bsa.org/nlats/

If you have any questions about either of these programs, please feel free to contact Jason Riley. Don't miss out on these great training opportunities in our back yard!

Fall Fellowship

Written by Fellowship Chairman.

Fall Fellowship is coming up November 3rd at the Frank Fickett Center from 4:00-9:00pm!  The cost will be $10 which will get you food and access to fun activities such as a televised football game, a gaming room, outdoor activities, and more.  This is a great way to meet new people in the lodge and you are encouraged to spread the news to your OA friends.

We will be using one of the rooms as a gaming room during this event.  There will be music and you are encouraged to bring your laptops, ds', etc. to partake in some multiplayer games.  Also, if you own a small flat screen tv, please consider bringing it for us to use so we can hook up some xbox's or ps3's.  Along those lines, if you have a scout appropriate game, extra controllers, etc. you would like to use, please bring them.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to let me know.
