Due to an abundance of caution, this project has been postponed to a later date.

We have been asked to assist in a very important project that will be taking place on November 6^th at Lost Pines Scout Reservation in Bastrop.  Please mark your calendar and join me and your fellow Arrowmen in providing cheerful service to our council camp.

Due to COVID and the ongoing BSA bankruptcy, our council’s budget is very tight this coming year. In addition to that, they are also searching for a new ranger to replace Kenny Wines who recently left our council to pursue another job.  With your help we can help save our council money and help to attract a quality replacement to keep Lost Pines in great working order. Our work assignment is to aid in the renovation of the ranger house located on the property.

Adults will be working on demoing the inside of the house by removing sheetrock, insulation, and building material to take the interior down to the studs for renovation.

Youth will be assisting by hauling the sheetrock, insulation, and building material to a dumpster that will be located in the driveway of the ranger house.

Due to the nature of this work, all participants need to wear long pants, a long sleeve shirt, and durable footwear. In addition to work clothing, you will need gloves and a dust mask would be highly encouraged for all. Any adults working on demoing material will be required to wear a dust mask and safety goggles or glasses for their protection. The lodge will provide dust masks and safety glasses for your use or you can bring your own personal PPE.

Optional to bring personal items – Lodge will provide these for the event

1. Dust Mask (required for those doing demo work)
2. Safety Glasses or Goggles (required for those doing demo work)

Water and lunch will be provided for the work crews during this event. Make sure to bring your own water bottle.
